The high-profile pair have only been married for two years, after tying the knot in 2022. But they’ve been together for 12 years and have four children together – aged eleven, seven, five and five months respectively.
The news broke after former model Kilner, 31, reportedly met with divorce lawyers and then filed official divorce papers. It comes after allegations that Walker, 33, had an affair with influencer Lauryn Goodman.
What’s more, Walker has apparently “secretly” fathered two children with the Celebs Go Dating star.
The second child, a girl called Kinara, was born in August 2023, less than a year before Kilner gave birth to the couple’s fourth child in April 2024. Goodman and Walker ended up involved in a much publicised family court dispute about how much financial support the footballer should be providing to the child.
It’s understood that Kilner is unable to forgive the Manchester City defender for his infidelity. She is reportedly seeking a share of the couple’s £27 million fortune in the divorce. It isn’t known at this stage what both parties are planning to request in terms of children’s arrangements.
Walker apologises for affair
In an interview with The Sun in January 2024 – just after the news broke about his second child with Goodman - Walker made the surprising move of speaking to the press about the affair allegations. He said:
" What I’ve done is horrible and I take full responsibility,”
“I made idiot choices and idiot decisions. I can’t begin to think or imagine what Annie is going through. I’ve tried to ask her but there’s pain and hurt. The man that’s meant to love, care and be there for her, did this."
“The only person to blame is me. I have roles and responsibilities that I’m aware of and I’ve made stupid choices. But I need to own up to my mistakes – I owe it to everyone.”
While he has been served divorce papers, Walker is reportedly still living at the £4 million family home in Cheshire – and that Kilner has agreed to this for the sake of their four children.
Facing a complicated divorce?
As is evident from this celebrity divorce case, separation can be complicated – especially when there are lots of children involved. It’s also difficult when there are high value assets at stake, and when parties simply can’t agree on how wealth should be divided.
This is where the services of an expert solicitor come in, helping you to negotiate a settlement and family arrangements in the best interests of everyone – while putting children’s needs right at the top of the priority list.
